We had the opportunity of hosting two teenage French soccer players this May.  They came from Northern France (were hand-picked from their regions) to play the Cerritos Memorial Cup tournament here.  We had so much fun with them! :)  Here is a mini documentary I made for them with some footage from the experience.

I've been working on this epic 11 page piano solo in Db (yikes) major for a while now.  All of Me by Jon Schmidt.  It's a beautiful piece!  I love playing it. :)  Enjoy.

Love to Dance!!!

We had our last week of Maple  before summer intensives start! Many of us are leaving the state to study dance elsewhere for the summer with new all day schedules of dance and conditioning. Here are some videos of me dancing at Maple Conservatory of Dance with my friends : )

I am going to do a ballet intensive in Seattle this summer at the Pacific Northwest Ballet! I am so excited, I have a few friends going also : )  I will miss all of my Maple friends this summer, see you in September!!!

The amazing music in my film is Blue Rondo A La Turk played by Project Trio.  They are an incredible group of musicians; flute, cello and bass.  I had the pleasure of taking a master class with them this Spring.  I'm so lucky to have been able to use the piece.  Thank you Project Trio!!

Water Ecology

Last week we had another amazing adventure at Starr Ranch with our friend Anabelle and some other homeschooling friends! Our great environmental educators, Scott and Jen, led us to a stream where we learned about aquatic invertebrate, such as dobsonflies, toe-biters, may-flies, and water-striders. We looked for the difference in the amount of insects and the types of insects found in riffles and pools, then we collected them in buckets and sorted them. We found out that there are many more aquatic invertebrate in riffles than in pools! Here are some of the pictures that we took while we were there:
